Job summary

SCENTRE GROUP LIMITED is seeking a Risk & Security Supervisor for Westfield Newmarket. You will lead security initiatives, coordinate training, and support incident management to create a safe environment for customers, retailers and staff.

You will build strong relationships, manage risk programs, and monitor CCTV and security systems while collaborating with internal teams and external partners in a fast-paced centre setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, risk, safety or operational roles within retail, facilities or similar environments.
• Confident with security technology and reporting systems, including CCTV or monitoring platforms.
• Strong organisational skills to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent communication to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience delivering or coordinating training programs is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training programs and ensure training compliance across the security team.
• Support incident management, including proactive response to incidents, hazards and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation across incident management and compliance activities.
• Assist in operation and monitoring of security systems (CCTV and related platforms).
• Support management and performance of contracted security services.

Your opportunity

Everyday our Centre Experience team deliver extraordinary customer service. We welcome hundreds of millions of customer visits each year and our team’s focus is creating unique and memorable customer experiences for everyone in our Westfield destinations.

We have a role within our Westfield Newmarket team for an experienced Risk & Security Supervisor. Reporting to the Risk & Security Manager, this role supports the delivery of risk and security initiatives across the centre, helping ensure a safe and secure environment for our customers, retailers, contractors and centre teams.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you’ll play a key role in coordinating training, supporting incident management, and assisting with the operation and improvement of security systems and processes across the centre.

You will be responsible for:

• Building strong relationships with internal teams, retailers, contractors, emergency services and external stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate reporting and documentation across incident management and compliance activities
• Supporting the proactive management and response to incidents, hazards and emergencies across the centre
• Coordinating risk and security training programs and ensuring training compliance across the security team
• Supporting the management and performance of contracted security services
• Assisting with the operation and monitoring of security systems including CCTV and related technology platforms
• Supporting risk and security initiatives, projects and operational improvements across the centre

As part of the centre operations leadership team, you will also undertake Duty Manager responsibilities from time to time, including rostered weekend shifts which are balanced with a day off in lieu.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a Tuesday to Saturday roster, based on site at Westfield Newmarket.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple operational tasks and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience delivering or coordinating training programs is highly regarded
• A proactive and adaptable approach when responding to incidents or operational challenges
