Job summary

Talent Propeller Limited is seeking a Reticulation Serviceperson to join our team and maintain the Manawatō reticulation network in New Zealand. This full-time role involves on-site work with a standby roster, ensuring reliable water, wastewater and stormwater services for the community.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant field experience, a National Certificate in Water/Wastewater Reticulation (Level 3) or is prepared to study toward it, and a valid full driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience with water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation maintenance or a practical aptitude in mechanical/electrical skills.
• National Certificate in Water/Wastewater Reticulation (Level 3) or prepared to study towards this qualification.
• Ability to work safely and independently; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance, monitoring and repairs on reticulation systems.
• Respond to service requests and emergency callouts.
• Assist with projects and system upgrades.
• Maintain high safety standards in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Keep accurate records and maintenance schedules.

This position requires the appointee to be on a standby roster.

About the role

About you

We are looking for someone with:

• 1 - 3 years' experience with water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation maintenance or a practical aptitude in mechanical and electrical skills
• A National Certificate in Water/Wastewater Reticulation (Level 3) or prepared to study towards this qualification
• Ability to work safely and independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current full driver's licence
• Competent in the use of computers and office software
• Adaptability and a drive for continuous improvement

What we offer

The salary range is $60k- $73k. The salary offered will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Please also note that you must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand to be considered for this role. A Ministry of Justice check, health check and pre-employment drug and alcohol test is also a requirement of this position.
