Veolia Australia & New Zealand is recruiting a Reticulation Networks Operator based in South Taranaki. You will operate and maintain water, wastewater, and stormwater networks, ensuring service delivery aligns with Veolia's standards for safety, performance and customer service.

Training is provided for industry experience. The role emphasizes hands-on field work, collaboration with engineering and management staff, and contributing to continuous improvement across the networks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Preventative and reactive maintenance of water, wastewater, and stormwater networks.
• Serve as main contact for customer service requests and coordinate remedial actions.
• Log reports and jobs accurately and file documentation.
• Assist in Capital Works programs and improvements.
• Provide network ops support to supervisor and Veolia team for repairs and pipeline replacements.
• Collaborate with field, engineering, management, clients, customers, and suppliers.
• Perform other duties to ensure high quality service.

The Opportunity

We currently have a vacancy for a Reticulation Networks Operator based in South Taranaki who will be responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation networks. This role is to ensure service delivery demonstrates Veolia's commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and customer service while meeting performance and key performance indicators and applying health and safety procedures. Ideally you will have water industry experience - however training will be provided.

What you'll be responsible for

• Preventative and reactive maintenance of the water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation networks.
• Act as a point of contact for customer requests for service. Appropriately respond to these in a timely manner, assessing and coordinating remedial action if required.
• Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork and filing where required
• Participate in the development and implementation of Capital Works improvement programs
• Provide network operations support to the Networks Supervisor and Veolia team undertaking reticulation repairs, assisting with major repairs and replacing reticulated pipelines.
• Positively contribute to the district based operations teams by fostering effective working relationships with field, engineering and management staff, client representatives, customers and suppliers.
• Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.

What you'll need to be successful

• An effective communicator who can interact, relate and build relatrionships with staff at all levels of the organisation, colleagues and the client / customers
• A self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomy, personal integrity and has a good work ethic
• Proven ability to maintain accurate work records as well as planning and organisational ability
• Can maintain a stable performance level during periods of pressure and is able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances
• Good literacy and numeracy skills and is computer literate
• Willing to complete further training as required
• Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required and participation of on-call roster
• Basic Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
• Current full driver's licence (preferably with Class 2)
