Job summary

Early Settler in Nelson is seeking a passionate Assistant Store Manager to lead the team, drive sales performance and deliver a customer-centric shopping experience across our homeware range.

You will partner with the Store Manager, coach the sales team, manage rostering and operations on a Sunday–Thursday 40 hour roster, and bring energy to a supportive, values-driven store that helps customers create welcoming living spaces.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in retail sales with a proven track record.
• Strong commercial acumen and results-driven mindset.
• Ability to coach and motivate teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Willingness to handle rostering and store operations.
• Interest in home styling or furniture is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and achieve targets through effective selling.
• Collaborate with customers to realize home styling visions with recommendations.
• Coach and lead the retail team to deliver exceptional service.
• Support daily store operations including rostering, admin, and onboarding.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximise sales and service.
