Job summary

International Antarctic Experience Limited is seeking a customer-focused retail assistant in Christchurch. You will deliver exceptional service, learn product details, and operate the POS system to keep service smooth and efficient.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, supporting KPI goals, stock control, pricing, and processing sales at the desk. Weekend availability is required and a neat uniform and presentation are expected.

• Strong attention to detail; ability to multi-task and stay organised; good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Deliver and maintain high standards of customer service, undertaking all duties with enthusiasm and commitment.
• Build strong knowledge of the IAC product and learn the POS system to keep service running smoothly.
• An understanding of KPIs and eager to support coordinator in achieving them.
• Keep merchandise displays clean, tidy, and regularly rotated to stay appealing and interesting.
• Proactive loss prevention, including stock control and damaged stock credits.
• Assist with pricing, stock takes, and reporting stock shortages or ideas to the merchandiser.
• Upsell items to customers and complete ticket sales and other entry desk processes.
• Wear the designated uniform and maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
• Follow Health & Safety policies and procedures, and attend training as required.
• Weekend availability will be required.
