Job summary

Chemist Warehouse Invercargill is seeking a motivated, passionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Retail Manager. You will oversee daily store operations, supervise pharmacy staff, and build strong customer relationships while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven retail management experience in fast-paced, high-volume settings.
• Strong people management with 15–25 staff.

• Tech-savvy with computer systems proficiency.
• Outstanding customer service and negotiation abilities.
• NZ residency or valid NZ work permit required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day retail operations.

The Opportunity

Chemist Warehouse Invercargill is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Retail Manager!

Job Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day retail operations of the store
• Supervising and coordinating retail pharmacy staff and staffing activities
• Building and maintaining customer rapport and loyalty
• Improving the efficiency of store processes and procedures
• Addressing customer complaints as required
• Resolving staffing issues and stockdiscrepancies
• Ensuring organisational policies and procedures are followed and enforced
• Maintaining workplace Occupational Health and Safety

Skills

• Proven successful retail management experience (within fast paced & high volumes industries)
• Strong stable people management experience (ideally managing 15-25staff)
• Effective and positively impactful leadership, mentorship, and management skills
• Efficient problem-solving skills with a questioning and continuous improvement mindset
• Proficiency in using computer systems and tech savvy
• Exceptional customer service, negotiation, and influential skills
• Strong communication skills and able to relate, partner & advise at all various stakeholder levels
