Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Retail Inventory Specialist to manage stock control and inventory accuracy at their Queenstown location. You will conduct regular stocktakes, analyze data, and implement procedures to improve inventory management, with emphasis on minimizing shrinkage and ensuring product availability for customers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory management within retail.
• Strong understanding of stocktaking and loss prevention.
• Proficiency with inventory software and POS systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
• Monitor stock levels and identify fast-moving vs slow-moving items.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies to minimize shrinkage.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with store staff to ensure efficient handling and storage of merchandise.
