  • Familiarity with construction estimating software, digital plan measurement tools, and Microsoft Office or similar productivity suites.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and external clients in a professional manner.

Role Description

The Head of Quantity Surveying is a full-time, on-site role based in Christchurch, responsible for leading the quantity surveying function and ensuring high-quality material schedules and cost estimates for residential projects. This position oversees the end-to-end quantity takeoff process, reviews and validates material schedules, and sets standards, templates, and best practices for the team. The role includes managing and mentoring quantity surveyors, coordinating workloads, and working closely with operations and technology teams to refine workflows and tools. The Head of Quantity Surveying will interact with clients to clarify project requirements, address queries, and help improve the overall service offering, while monitoring performance metrics and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications
