Job summary

Promisia Healthcare Limited in Cromwell invites applications for an Activities Assistant to support residents across Rest Home, Hospital and Dementia Units. The role is 20–30 hours per week with some weekend work on rotation, focusing on meaningful, dignified activities tailored to individual needs.

You will plan and deliver physical, social and mentally stimulating programs, maintain records, and build community links to enhance daily living for residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate meaningful activities for residents.
• Deliver programmes that include physical, social and/or mentally stimulating activities.
• Adapt or change activity programmes based on evaluation outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate resident documentation.
• Ensure a weekly/monthly activities programme calendar is available for residents, families and staff.
• Maintain and build links with community groups and organisations to benefit residents.
• Participate in resident meetings and contribute to quality initiatives.
• Engage in professional development opportunities and meetings as directed.
• Coordinate volunteers assisting with the activities programme.
