Job summary

Summerset Holdings in Nelson is seeking a dedicated Chef to lead resident meals, café orders, and cabinet selections across our village. You will craft set meals, support the cafe, and guide culinary practices to deliver nourishing dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Professional cookery qualification (Level 3 or higher) is required.
• Experience as a Chef, preferably in aged care or residential settings.
• Solid understanding of Food Safety Plans and procedures.
• Able to mentor and share culinary knowledge with the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook set meals and café orders for residents and guests.
• Create and update café specials menu.
• Support the kitchen team with food preparation techniques.
• Comply with the approved Food Control Plan and safety standards.
• Contribute to village fine dining events and themed catering.
