Job summary

Southern Discoveries in Queenstown is seeking a Reservations Consultant to join our Head Office operation at Remarkables Park. You will book and sell our Milford Sound cruises and other experiences over the phone and by email, delivering outstanding visitor service.

After training, you may assist at our Central Queenstown retail outlet, coordinating morning coach dispatch and selling tourism products to visitors.

We are currently seeking a new team member to work as a Reservations Consultant for our Head Office Operation in Queenstown

Are you looking for a gresat role in tourism Customer Service and Reservations? Have you got great people skills and excellent attention to detail? If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you! As part of our close-knit team, you will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire for excellence in all that you do. You will be working at our Head Office Office in Remarkables Park, booking and selling Southern Discoveries products over the phone and via email. Once trained, you will also help out at our Central Queenstown Retail outlet, coordinating our morning coach dispatch, and selling tourism products to visitors, so there is plenty of variety in the role.

To be successful in this role you will have the following key skills and attributes:

• Passion for delivering great customer service and an outstanding visitor experience
• Calm and organised, with outstanding attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literate, with experience in booking systems
• Strong team player, but also able to work autonomously once you are trained on our processes
• Professional, punctual, and reliable

This is a full-time, fixed-term position over a 7-day roster, which will include weekends and public holidays, and some early mornings/evenings. You will be given full training and the job has plenty of variety in a fun and supportive team.Candidates who can commit through to the 30th of April 2027 will be given preference.
