Job summary

Victoria University of Wellington is seeking a Reporting Analyst to join the Strategy and Planning team on a 12-month fixed-term, full-time contract. The role is based primarily on the Pipitea campus however offers flexible working based on agreement with manager.

You will analyse data, develop dashboards and reports using SQL and Power BI, and provide timely insights to support enrolment forecasting and TEC funding reporting across the university.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing reports, analyses, and data visualisations in an enterprise BI environment.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle and/or MS SQL Server experience.
• Experience using Power BI for clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Business analysis skills: gathering requirements, documenting processes, testing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support completion of Government Agency returns such as SDR and TEC reports, meeting deadlines.
• Forecast enrolments and TEC funding accurately using data from EDW and other systems.
• Prioritise and track ad hoc reporting requests and provide progress updates.
• Document reporting requirements and collaborate with systems staff to place on development work programmes.
• Develop fit-for-purpose data visualisations to inform strategic decisions.
