Job summary

Genesis seeks a Resource Consenting Specialist based in Hamilton to lead consent activities for existing and proposed generation assets, including renewable energy developments. You will provide RMA guidance, assess environmental effects, and work with project, engineering and environmental teams to progress projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in resource consenting or environmental planning.
• 5+ years in resource consenting, planning or RMA work.
• Strong knowledge of resource management legislation and planning processes.
• Experience coordinating complex projects with external consultants.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead resource consenting activities for existing and proposed generation assets through the lifecycle.
• Provide specialist advice on RMA requirements and environmental effects.
• Collaborate with project, engineering and environmental teams to navigate consenting challenges.
• Build and maintain relationships with mana whenua, regulators, communities and stakeholders.
• Manage external consultants and ensure high-quality environmental assessments and outcomes.
