About the Role

Our client, a leading international manufacturing company, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Remote Supply Chain Director to optimize its global supply chain operations. This fully remote position requires a leader with extensive expertise in end-to-end supply chain management, including procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory control. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and ensure the reliable flow of materials and finished goods across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics, and a proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse, geographically dispersed teams. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive global supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.


• Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including strategic sourcing, demand and supply planning, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.


• Lead and mentor a global team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.


• Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve operational efficiency across the entire supply chain network.


• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.


• Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain function, reporting on performance to senior leadership.


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, sales, finance) and external partners (e.g., suppliers, logistics providers) to ensure seamless operations.


• Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance supply chain visibility, predictability, and performance.


• Stay abreast of global trade regulations, economic conditions, and industry best practices impacting the supply chain.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.


• 10+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.


• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies that drive significant cost savings and efficiency improvements.


• Extensive experience in managing complex global networks, including international logistics, customs, and trade compliance.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, with experience leading remote teams.


• Proficiency in supply chain planning software, ERP systems, and advanced analytics tools.
