Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a fully remote team focused on building, automating, and scaling cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will ensure reliability, performance, and security of applications using AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC practices.

The role requires 6+ years in DevOps or related fields, strong scripting skills, and a passion for automation in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software engineering with a focus on infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote team.
