About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing real estate investment firm, is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Real Estate Acquisitions Specialist to identify and secure lucrative investment opportunities across South Africa. This role is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while driving the company's growth strategy. You will be responsible for sourcing potential properties, conducting thorough due diligence, analysing market data, and negotiating acquisitions to meet our client's investment criteria. The ideal candidate will possess a strong network within the real estate industry, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven track record in deal origination and closing. This position requires a self-starter with a keen understanding of investment markets and the ability to thrive in a virtual, collaborative environment. You will be instrumental in expanding our client's property portfolio with strategic and profitable acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify potential real estate investment opportunities that align with the company's acquisition strategy and financial targets.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential acquisitions, including market analysis, financial modelling, site inspections, and legal/title reviews.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, brokers, developers, and other key market participants to generate deal flow.
• Negotiate purchase agreements, terms, and conditions with sellers to secure favourable acquisition terms.
• Prepare detailed investment proposals, financial analyses, and reports for senior management review and approval.
• Analyse market trends, economic conditions, and demographic data to identify undervalued assets and emerging investment opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams (legal, finance, asset management) in a virtual environment to ensure smooth transaction execution.
• Manage the acquisition process from initial contact through to closing, ensuring all milestones are met efficiently and effectively.
• Stay informed about the latest real estate market trends, investment strategies, and regulatory changes.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the company's acquisition criteria and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in real estate acquisitions, investment analysis, or corporate finance, with a focus on deal sourcing and execution.
• Proven track record of successfully sourcing, negotiating, and closing real estate transactions.
• Strong understanding of real estate investment principles, valuation methods, and financial modelling.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a pipeline of opportunities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Existing network within the South African real estate market is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with legal documentation related to real estate transactions.
