Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Quality Assurance Manager to drive quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites from anywhere. You will develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS, oversee QC processes, and push continuous improvement while ensuring ISO 9001 compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering or science, 7+ years in QA/QC within manufacturing, and proven remote team leadership.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality initiatives from anywhere. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system across all manufacturing operations. You will oversee quality control processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with a strong background in quality assurance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams remotely, supporting our client's national operations, including those in Queenstown .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Establish quality metrics and KPIs, and monitor performance across all operational sites.
• Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality considerations throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within manufacturing.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
• Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated success in managing remote teams and driving quality initiatives across multiple locations.
