Placements24 client seeks a Project Engineer for a major chemical plant expansion in Queenstown. You will manage multi-discipline teams and drive delivery from planning through commissioning in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.

We require 8+ years in project engineering within the chemical sector, strong leadership, and exceptional stakeholder communication to keep projects safe, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of project engineering experience in chemical industry.
• Proven track record of managing complex capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience with plant design, construction and commissioning.
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation for hybrid stakeholder management.

About the Role

Our client seeks a results-oriented Project Engineer to manage and execute a significant chemical plant expansion project based in Queenstown . This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate diverse teams. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project, from initial planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
