Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, invites a Media Studies teacher to deliver engaging live online lessons to Years 9-12, across Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2-3. This role is fully remote from anywhere in New Zealand.

You will design personalised experiences, build relationships with students, and collaborate with a talented team while reporting to parents to support learning.

Qualifications

• NZ Teaching Registration is required.
• Teaching qualification with subject expertise in Media Studies.
• Strong knowledge of NCEA Levels 2-3.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort with digital technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging live online Media Studies lessons five days per week.
• Design personalised learning experiences.
• Build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual environment.
• Collaborate with a high-calibre team of innovative educators.
• Support student progress through differentiated instruction.
• Provide meaningful formative assessment, with feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals.
• Contribute positively to the functioning and growth of the curriculum team.
• Develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning.
