Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Logistics, Business Analytics or related field.
- Experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in logistics/transportation.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work remotely.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large volumes of logistics data from various sources, maintaining data integrity.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics, including delivery times, transportation costs, inventory levels, and route efficiency.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to present key findings to stakeholders.
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in logistics data to pinpoint areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Collaborate with operations teams to understand data needs and provide data-driven insights for problem-solving.
- Develop predictive models to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and improve resource allocation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on logistics performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses as requested by management to support strategic initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in logistics data analysis.
