Job summary
Theta is seeking an experienced analytics engineer to join the Data and Insights Practice in our Auckland office. You will own end-to-end analytics delivery, turning business questions into trusted reporting and semantic models while collaborating with architects and delivery teams.
You will lead discovery with clients, design semantic models, and deliver practical, adopted analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. A cover letter is requested with applications.
Qualifications
- 4+ years hands-on Power BI delivery, including semantic model design, complex DAX measures, and performance optimisation
- 4+ years client-facing consulting, leading discovery and stakeholder workshops
- 4+ years analytics data modelling and SQL, with dimensional modelling and profiling
- 4+ years end-to-end analytics delivery ownership from requirements to handover and documentation
Responsibilities
- Lead client discovery to define KPIs/metrics and reporting outcomes
- Design semantic and analytics data models; build first iteration in Fabric and Power BI
- Deliver pragmatic solutions with clear documentation and coaching for adoption
