Placements24 is seeking a Junior Penetration Tester in Queenstown to grow under senior security experts. You will perform web, network, and mobile tests, document findings, and contribute to improving client security posture with practical remediation guidance.

You will engage with a supportive team, access mentoring, and have opportunities for certifications and training as you build hands-on experience in cybersecurity across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrable skills.
• Basic networking, OS, and security concepts knowledge.
• Familiarity with pentesting methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear reporting communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct web app, network, and mobile pentesting under supervision.
• Identify, document and report vulnerabilities with remediation recommendations.
• Assist in test plan development and execution.
• Stay updated on latest vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
• Use tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Nmap in assessments.
• Collaborate with security team to understand system architectures and risks.
