Placements24 is seeking a strategic FP&A Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning in a remote-first setup based anywhere in South Africa. The role focuses on translating complex financial data into actionable insights for senior leadership.

You will develop models, drive performance analysis, and prepare executive-level reports while collaborating with business units to optimise revenue and costs. A strong remote-work track record is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion, and Excel.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with influence capability.
• Experience managing projects in a remote, autonomous environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for the organisation.
• Develop long-range financial plans and strategic models.
• Analyze results, identify drivers, and provide variance commentary.
• Prepare reports and presentations for executives and board.
• Collaborate with leaders to support financial needs and strategy.
• Identify revenue opportunities and cost optimisation options.
• Track KPIs and drive FP&A process improvements.
• Mentor junior finance team members where applicable.
