Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Financial Controller to lead our finance operations from a remote capacity. This senior role oversees accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning across a distributed team.

You will implement robust controls, manage IFRS-based reporting, and guide budgeting and forecasting while delivering insights to executive leadership from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA is essential
• 8+ years in finance/accounting with 3+ in a controller/leadership role
• Strong IFRS knowledge and tax compliance experience
• Experience managing remote teams and cloud-based financial systems

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all accounting operations including AP/AR/GL and payroll
• Oversee IFRS-based financial reporting and timely statements
• Establish internal controls and safeguard assets
• Manage tax compliance and regulatory filings
• Develop budgeting and forecasting; lead strategic financial plans
• Lead and mentor a remote finance team
