Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Chemistry Subject Matter Expert for AI training. This fully remote, hourly contract role involves designing advanced chemistry problems to test AI performance and providing rigorous, well-structured solutions.

You’ll evaluate AI-generated explanations for scientific accuracy across organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, and collaborate with AI researchers to refine benchmarks. 10–40 hours per week, flexible schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design challenging chemistry problems to rigorously test AI performance across domains such as chemical engineering, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with precise, well-structured reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, logical soundness, and quality of explanation.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry topics.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback to improve AI model performance.
