Qualifications

  • Pursuing or completed a Master's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Ability to write clearly and precisely about complex science.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Design graduate-level chemistry problems to test AI performance across domains (organic, biochemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering).
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic and sound reasoning.
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth of reasoning and quality.
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Master’s level chemistry.
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback to improve AI outputs over time.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed to fit around your existing commitments — whether you're finishing your degree, working in research, or exploring new opportunities.

What You'll Do
  • Design challenging, graduate-level chemistry problems to rigorously test AI performance across domains such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, physical chemistry, and chemical engineering
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic and sound scientific reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth of reasoning, and quality
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine and improve benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps improve AI model outputs over time
Who You Are
  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
  • Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI experience required — we'll get you up to speed
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, evaluation, or quality assessment workflows
  • Familiarity with AI language models or benchmark development
  • Background spanning multiple chemistry subdisciplines
