Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Chemical Engineer focused on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to join a dispersed, global team. You will develop and implement HSE policies, conduct risk assessments, and provide expert guidance from a home office.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical or Environmental/Safety Engineering, at least 5 years in HSE within chemical or process industries, and familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental/Safety Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within the chemical or process industry.
• Experience with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001) is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures for chemical operations.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and hazard analyses for existing and new processes.
• Investigate safety incidents and environmental excursions, determining root causes and recommending preventative measures.
• Provide expert HSE advice and support to operational teams globally through virtual channels.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international HSE regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training materials and continuous engagement initiatives.
