Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced Technical Lead (Ruby on Rails, AI‑Native) for a remote, part‑time role. You will shape engineering culture, set technical standards, and mentor a distributed team across countries and time zones.

You will lead architectural decisions, review AI‑assisted workflows, and promote best practices while maintaining production readiness. Flexible 50% time accommodates UK hours as needed.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software experience.
6+ years of production Ruby on Rails experience.
Experience leading or mentoring a small engineering team.
Strong code-review and architectural judgment.
Hands-on with AI-native development tools (Cursor, Claude Code).
Experience in remote-first, distributed teams.
Part-time availability (4–5 hours/day, Mon–Fri).
Excellent communication and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain engineering culture and standards.
Provide technical leadership to a four-developer team.
Define development processes and conventions.
Review AI-assisted workflows for quality and security.
Guide architectural decisions to ensure scalable, reliable systems.
Collaborate with leadership across time zones.
