Job summary

Heartland Bank Limited is seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract in Auckland. You will oversee preparation of regulatory submissions to the RBNZ and support capital adequacy reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across NZ and Australian banking operations.

Collaborate with Finance, Treasury and Risk to verify data and implement process improvements to strengthen governance and controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory reporting within a bank or regulated environment.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Able to hit the ground running and work at pace.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and delivery of regulatory submissions to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory returns.
• Calculate and support Capital Adequacy reporting under Banking Prudential Requirements (BPRs).
• Contribute to half-year and year-end regulatory disclosures and financial statement reporting.
• Support dual regulatory reporting obligations across NZ and Australian banking operations.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury and Risk to validate information for submissions.
• Assist with regulatory audits and compliance assessments.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement changes affecting reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Support Treasury confirmation processes and broader Finance team needs.
