Job summary

Heartland is seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract in Auckland. You will lead the preparation of prudential and financial returns, support capital adequacy reporting, and ensure regulatory disclosures across Heartland's NZ and Australian banking operations.

You will partner with Finance, Treasury and Risk to obtain data, drive improvements, and support audits and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory reporting in banking or regulated environments.
• Understanding of banking regulations, prudential standards and Basel frameworks.
• Excellent Excel skills to analyse and interpret complex financial data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver regulatory submissions to RBNZ on time and accurately.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory returns per prudential rules.
• Support Capital Adequacy reporting under Banking Prudential Requirements.
• Contribute to regulatory disclosures and financial statement reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury and Risk to validate data for submissions.
• Assist with audits, reviews and monitoring of regulatory changes.
