New Zealand Transport Agency seeks a Principal Advisor Regulatory Framework to lead the design and delivery of regulatory frameworks, products and interventions that translate legislation into practical, compliant tools. You will work with operational teams and subject matter experts to strengthen system performance, improve safety, and reduce harm across land transport.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in regulatory environments with ability to translate policy into practice.
Strong judgement, analytical thinking and risk awareness.
Excellent relationship builder and communicator across levels.

Responsibilities

Lead assigned work packages including planning, design, implementation and commissioning of regulatory solutions.
Translate policy intent and legislative requirements into clear regulatory products and interventions.
Lead design and refinement of regulatory frameworks, tools and guidance following best-practice standards.
Produce clear documentation and guidance to support understanding and compliance.
Build relationships across design, operations, legal and enabling teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Provide peer review and quality assurance across team products and uplift clarity and usability.
Act as technical leader, coaching senior advisors and lifting team capability.
