Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Rotorua is seeking an Orthopaedic Registrar to provide in-patient, day patient and outpatient care under consultant direction. Join the Lakes Orthopaedic Department within a smaller hospital setting, with a supportive team of consultants, house officers, medical students and nursing staff.

Applicants must be MCNZ registered or eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, with at least two years

Qualifications

• MCNZ registration and/or eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Minimum of two years post-qualification experience.
• Keen interest in providing acute and general medical care to the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-patient, day patient and out-patient care for Orthopaedic patients as directed by consultants.
• Rooster/shift will be set to cover the department needs, with a supportive team of consultants, house officers, medical students and nursing staff.

The employee will provide in-patient, day patient and out-patient care for Orthopaedic patients assigned to them and as directed by the consultants involved.
