Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Rotorua invites applications for an Orthopaedic Registrar. You will provide in-patient, day-patient and out-patient care within the Lakes Orthopaedic Department, under consultants, with a supportive team.

This role offers exposure to general and acute medicine in a smaller hospital setting, with a roster that balances clinical duties and work-life. A strong interest in acute orthopaedic care and a valid MCNZ registration are essential.

Qualifications

• MCNZ registration or eligibility to general/provisional general registration.
• Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in orthopaedics or related fields.
• keen interest in providing acute and general medical care to the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-patient, day patient and out-patient care for orthopaedic patients.
• Collaborate with consultants and the healthcare team in a busy setting.
• Contribute to rostered hours and participate in teaching and training.

Join the Lakes, Orthopaedic Department, as a training or non-training registrar. The employee will provide in-patient, day patient and out-patient care for Orthopaedic patients assigned to them and as directed by the consultants involved. • MCNZ registration and or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
