Job summary

MidCentral District Health Board in Palmerston North is offering a non-training Orthopaedic Registrar position to embark on or develop a career in Orthopaedic Surgery. The role provides a strong foundation in orthopaedics with emphasis on training and hands-on skill development, exposure to elective procedures and high-volume trauma.

Ideal candidates are motivated doctors aiming to consolidate core competencies, build operative confidence and prepare for future training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Completed PGY2 or equivalent.
• Completion of GSSE exam or equivalent would be an advantage but not a key requirement.
