Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Taranaki Base Hospital, invites applications for a Registered Nurse to join our combined ICU/CCU/HDU in New Plymouth. This permanent part-time role offers the chance to work with a dedicated team delivering high-quality critical care to our community.

We provide orientation, access to clinical training, and opportunities to advance, with a move to a new facility planned for 2026.

Qualifications

• Current APC/NZ nursing registration.
• Experience in acute NZ environment preferred.
• Ability to work in ICU/CCU/HDU settings and prioritize care.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care in ICU/CCU/HDU within a 16-bed unit.
• Maintain accurate patient monitoring and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

About you

Applications are invited for Registered Nursestojoinour teamin a 16 bed multi specialty ICU CCU, HDU.

To be successful you require the following:

• A current APC
• A minimum oftwo years New Zealand acute experience
• Worked in an acute environment within the last year
• PreviousICU CCU and or HDU experience is preferred
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Ability to work in a changeable environment
• Strong desire to and be self‑motivated to learn
• Post graduate certificate in critical care preferred or commitment to complete the same is required.
