Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Christchurch Hospital Campus is seeking Registered Nurses for ICU, with 12-hour shifts, 24–36 hours per week (0.6–0.9 FTE). Permanent and fixed-term positions available in the Waipapa Building, Christchurch.

About the Role

We are looking for Registered Nurses who are interested in acareer in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and who are committed to providing qualitycare to our ICU patients. We have a diverse patient group and provide care fora variety of diagnoses in both adults and children requiring intensive care,including those following cardio thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal andtrauma.Shifts are 12 hours (8 hours during orientation) Day (6:40amstart) and Night (6:40pm start), Monday to Sunday.We currently have fixed-term positions available due toparental leave and permanent positions available.Our permanent positions are between 0.6 - 0.9FTE (24 to 36hours a week) and our fixed-term positions are0.6 - 0.9FTE (24 to 36 hours a week) withend dates between March 2027 and October 2027.Please indicate in your cover letter which role(s) you wouldlike to be considered for.

About Service

Our Intensive Care Unit is a tertiary level 3 ICU based inthe Waipapa building and currently resourced for 25 beds.We are amultidisciplinary team who see over 1,800 patients annually.We are a service that encourages and supports professionaldevelopment and career aspirations.
