Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Taranaki is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Assessment Unit on a permanent part-time basis (0.5 FTE). You will deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment and work rosters with rotation to other areas as needed.

We offer orientation, access to clinical training, modern facilities, opportunities for local project involvement and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Qualified nurse with NZ registration and APC clearance (no APC conditions).
  • Cannulation and phlebotomy skills required.
  • Experience in acute hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to work in rostered and rotated shifts.
  • Patient-centred care mindset and teamwork.

About you

Are you a qualified Nurse who has experience working within a New Zealand hospital / healthcare system who would embrace an exciting opportunity in a beautiful province with fantastic work life balance? Have you got experience working within the acute hospital setting?

We are looking for experienced nurses, you must have no APC conditions and have the following:

  • Cannulation and phlebotomy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehensively assess patients, implement a nursing care plan and escape or resolve any concerns
  • A keen desire to work in an environment of change while providing excellent patient centred care
  • Medical and surgical experiance desirable
