Job summary

Presbyterian Support Central in Wellington seeks a Registered Nurse for Huntleigh Home. You will deliver high-standard nursing care to residents in a rest home and hospital setting, based on empathy and a person-centred approach.

Join a values-driven Enliven team, working 64 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster including weekends, with weekend/night allowances and overtime. Active staff development and support for ongoing nursing practice are provided.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Preferably 2 years RN experience in aged care or with complex health needs.
• Ability to lead and guide Health Care Assistants and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to residents at Huntleigh Home.
• Work rotating PM and Night shifts, including weekends, in a Rest Home/Hospital setting.
• Collaborate with Enliven team and maintain person-centred care and high standards.

Mō to tūranga - About the Role:

Huntleigh Home provides Rest Home and Hospital Level of Care - this role is working 64 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster working PM and Night shifts including weekends.

You will work as part of an Enliven team in a peer-supported environment, where everyone wants to deliver great quality care to our residents and ensure they have a positive experience whilst living in our Homes. We provide weekend and nightshift allowances and overtime rates so you will be recognised and compensated for the flexibility you can bring with you as we appreciate every team member that can support our Homes to be a great place to live and work.

As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect, and operate with a person-centred approach and high care standards.

Whether you are spending time with staff or residents, it's all about the way we communicate with each other and how we get the job done that counts towards making the difference to everyone's day.

We are looking for someone you can offer the following:

• NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate
• Preferably with 2 years’ RN experience, within aged care or with adults with complex health needs
• Confidence leading and guiding a team of Health Care Assistants
• Able to work independently if required (sole‑charge experience helpful)
• InterRAI experience an advantage (training provided)
