Job summary

Enliven is seeking Healthcare Assistants to join the Enliven Bureau team in Wellington, supporting our Homes during December to January. Casual shifts cover AM, PM and Night across a 7-day week. You will provide daily living and care, encourage independence, and work under the Registered Nurse supervision.

Minimum 2 years’ HCA experience and Health & Wellbeing Certificate Level 2 or higher are preferred. We offer a progressive pay scale ($25.71–$32.03 per hour), ongoing training, and benefits

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Health Care Assistant.
• Hold a Health & Wellbeing Certificate Level 2 or higher.
• Passionate about supporting the wellbeing of older people.
• Patient, organised, and a strong team player.
• Comfortable using a computer and keeping digital records.

Job description

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our Enliven Bureau team working casually to support our Wellington Region Homes over the Christmas and New Years period. Our Homes provide rest home, hospital and dementia level care. Hours of work are AM, PM and Night shifts across a 7 day week. This role is supporting all our Wellington Homes including Huntleigh, Longview, Cashmere and Woburn Home.

You will work as part of an Enliven team in a peer-supported environment, where everyone wants to deliver great quality care to our residents and ensure they have a positive experience whilst living in our home. We value the flexibility you can bring with you as we appreciate every team member that can support our Homes to be a great place to live and work.

In this role you will:

• Provide daily living and care support to our Elders
• Encourage independence and resident-led decision making
• Deliver high-quality, individualised support
• Follow and encourage all health and safety practices and procedures

• Ensure resident needs are met effectively and in a timely manner

We are looking for someone you can offer the following:

• Be available to work over December and January for Christmas and New Year cover
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Health Care Assistant
