Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Southern in Dunedin is seeking Registered Nurses for Ward 4C on a 0.8 FTE basis on a general surgery/urology roster. The vacancy covers both elective and acute surgical admissions and offers a pro rata salary band from $75,000 to $106,000 per annum depending on steps and experience.

You must be registered with the NZ Nursing Council and hold an APC; surgical experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on Ward 4C with elective and acute general surgical admissions (vascular, urology, plastics, breast, gynaecology).
• Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver safe patient care and throughput.
• Contribute to patient assessment, monitoring, and discharge planning as part of the ward team.

About the role

Ward 4C is a 25-bed general surgical ward provides for both elective and acute surgical admissions, specialising in vascular, urology, plastics, breast, gynaecology.

Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($75,773 p.a) and Step 7 ($106,739 p.a prorata) of the RN scale.
