Job summary

BayCare Health System in Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our ER team, delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The RN is required to hold a valid RN license, nursing degree, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and have ER experience. This full-time role offers shift 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, in-person work, and opportunities for mentorship and career growth.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor in Nursing or higher.

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of patients using the nursing process.
• Delegate care activities to health-care team members.
• Organize and update the plan of care with patients and families.
• Identify at-risk patients and prepare the room environment.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and condition changes.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
