Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Endocrine service at Christchurch Outpatients. The role involves autonomous work leading nurse-led clinics, conducting patient assessments and implementing planned care.

Shifts run 8am–1pm, Monday to Friday. This opportunity is open to current Health New Zealand staff only, with a focus on collaborative care in a multidisciplinary team and ongoing patient support.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current Nursing Council NZ APC.
• Endocrine nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and in clinics.

Wehave an exciting opportunity to join the Endocrine service at ChristchurchOutpatients as a Registered Nurse. This role is varied and is an excitingopportunity to further enhance your knowledge and skills.

Inthis role, you will be responsible for working autonomously running varioustypes of nurse led clinics undertaking patient assessments and implementingplanned care.

Aboutthe Service

TheEndocrine Test Centre is a purpose-built area within Christchurch Outpatientsthat provides specialist testing and treatment for patients with a wide variety of Endocrine disorders. As part of the Nursing team you will have theopportunity to develop your knowledge within the specialty and have theopportunity to be involved in Nurse led clinics providing the ongoingassessment and follow up for Patients in the community.

About You

• Experience in Endocrine nursing or similar desired
• Cannulation and venepuncture skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to buildeffective relationships with a strong patient focus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinaryteam
• Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand witha current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
