Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Assessment Unit in Hawke's Bay. The role is permanent, part-time (0.5 FTE) at 40 hours per fortnight, with opportunities to develop rapid assessment and short-term care skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

Qualifications

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse - Acute Assessment Unit, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to patients requiring rapid assessment and short-term treatment. You’ll use your clinical judgement to assess, plan, and deliver care, working closely with patients and whānau in a dynamic acute setting.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where you’ll manage changing priorities, support patient flow, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and safe care. You’ll also play a key role in patient education, ongoing assessment, and contributing to a positive team environment focused on delivering excellent outcomes.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Acute Assessment Unit at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is a key service supporting urgent patient assessment, treatment, and flow through the hospital. You’ll be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
