Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a Registered Nurse in the Acute Assessment Unit at Hawke's Bay. The role offers permanent, part-time work at 0.5 FTE (40 hours per fortnight) in Hastings, North Island.

You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, applying clinical judgement and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient flow and timely care.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Council of NZ registration with a valid practising certificate.
• Strong clinical skills in a fast-paced acute environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good time management and prioritisation of competing demands.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred care to rapidly assess and treat patients.
• Use clinical judgement to assess, plan and deliver care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Manage patient flow and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic acute setting.
• Educate patients and whānau and contribute to a positive team environment.
