Whānau Āwhina Plunket is hiring a permanent, full-time Registered Nurse to deliver Well Child Tamariki Ora assessments across Hamilton, Waikato. The role is based in Hamilton, 1.0 FTE including Saturdays, with occasional twilight clinics.
You’ll provide holistic, culturally responsive care, build trusted relationships with whānau, and coordinate referrals to local services. You’ll work autonomously and with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available within our Waikato team. This position is based in Hamilton and works 1.0 FTE including Saturdays. There may also be occasional twilight clinics.
As a Plunket Nurse, you’ll provide comprehensive Well Child Tamariki Ora assessments and support the health and wellbeing of pēpi, tamariki and their whānau. Working across clinics, community settings and whānau homes, you’ll develop trusted relationships and support whānau to achieve their goals.
You’ll take a holistic and culturally responsive approach to care, drawing on your clinical knowledge to assess the health, development and wider needs of tamariki and their whānau. This may include providing evidence-based guidance, developing care pathways, coordinating referrals and connecting whānau with relevant community services.
You’ll work both autonomously and alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, building strong relationships with colleagues, health professionals, local services and community organisations.
You’ll be a compassionate and confident Registered Nurse who is passionate about improving health outcomes for tamariki and whānau. You’ll bring strong assessment and communication skills, sound clinical judgement and the ability to build respectful, trusting relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
