Job summary

Oceania Group in Franklin, New Zealand, is seeking a Registered Nurse to practice at full scope within a nurse-led service. You will coordinate daily care needs, provide comprehensive assessments, and make autonomous clinical decisions to support residents.

You will build trusting relationships with residents and families, lead care staff, and mentor the team while upholding high standards of safety and wellbeing across the village network.

Qualifications

  • NZ Annual Practising Certificate is required.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Experience using clinical systems.
  • Desirable: InterRai experience (not essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Capability to coach and mentor other staff.
  • Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis.

Job description

As a Registered Nurse with Oceania based at Franklin, you will have the opportunity to practice at full scope within a nurse-led service. Your clinical expertise and judgment will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care and support to our residents. You will coordinate daily care needs, inspire others, and build strong connections and relationships with our residents and their families.

What You'll Be Doing:

Coordinating the daily care needs of our residents while inspiring and supporting others

Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions, both independently and collaboratively

Making critical decisions regarding resident care and demonstrating autonomy

Building connections and relationships with residents and their families (and allied health professionals in the community)

Providing leadership and guidance to care staff and team members.

What You'll Bring:

A current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate

A commitment to delivering excellent service

Previous experience using clinical systems

Desirable: InterRai experience (but not essential)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Effective time management abilities

The capability to coach and mentor other staff

Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
