Job summary

Oceania Group is seeking a casual Registered Nurse based at Redwood in Marlborough, New Zealand, to deliver high-quality, full-scope nursing care to our residents.

You will coordinate daily care, perform comprehensive assessments, make autonomous clinical decisions, and mentor care staff while building strong connections with residents and families.

Qualifications

  • Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APNZ) valid for RN practice.
  • Caring, compassionate nursing with patient-centred approach.
  • Experience using clinical information systems is desirable.

Job description

As a casual Registered Nurse with Oceania based at Redwood, you will have the opportunity to practice at full scope within a nurse-led service. Your clinical expertise and judgment will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care and support to our residents. You will coordinate daily care needs, inspire others, and build strong connections and relationships with our residents and their families.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Coordinating the daily care needs of our residents while inspiring and supporting others

  • Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions, both independently and collaboratively

  • Making critical decisions regarding resident care and demonstrating autonomy

  • Building connections and relationships with residents and their families (and allied health professionals in the community)

  • Providing leadership and guidance to care staff and team members.

What You'll Bring:
  • A current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate

  • A commitment to delivering excellent service

  • Previous experience using clinical systems

  • Desirable: InterRai experience (but not essential)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective time management abilities

  • The capability to coach and mentor other staff

  • Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis

Job Details:
  • Competitive hourly rate of $37.38 to $53.22based on experience
