Job summary

Bupa Bethesda Care Home in Bishopdale, Christchurch, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a permanent 32-hour roster, mornings, 6:45am to 3:15pm, on a 4 days on / 2 days off cycle.

You’ll deliver care across Rest Home, Hospital and Dementia levels, ensure high-quality documentation, and collaborate with residents, whānau and the care team. NZ Nursing Council APC required; aged care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• NZ aged care experience preferred; other RN backgrounds considered.
• Demonstrated improvements in care plans, assessments and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across Rest Home, Hospital and Dementia levels.
• Maintain clinical records with accurate documentation and reporting.
• Assess changes in residents’ health and respond to safety concerns.

Bupa Bethesda Care Home in Bishopdale is seeking an experienced RN to join the team on a permanent 32-hour roster working 6:45am to 3:15pm, following a 4 days on, 2 days off pattern. Bethesda Care Home provides Rest Home, Hospital, and Dementia level care in a well-established Bishopdale location. The care home is close to local amenities, public transport, and Christchurch Airport, making it a convenient place to work. The home is known for its homely environment, spacious resident rooms, strong focus on personalised care, and attractive outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy. It offers 24-hour clinical support and provides a broad scope of nursing practice across multiple levels of care.

• Employment Type:Permanent Full Time
• Hours:Average 32 hours per week
• Shift Time: Mornings 6:45am-3:15pm
• Roster Pattern: 4 shifts on, 2 shifts off (6-weekly roster across Monday - Sunday)

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
• NZ aged care experience preferred; other RN backgrounds considered
• Demonstrated improvements in care plans, assessments and documentation quality
• Identifies health changes early and acts to ensure safety
• Communicates effectively with residents, whānau, teams and providers
• Maintains clinical standards, accurate documentation and quality improvement
• Confident using clinical systems, records and reporting tools.
