Job summary

Ta’i Tamaiti Turanga Rangatira, an ECE centre in Māngere, is seeking a Registered ECE Teacher to join their team. The role is full-time and permanent, with a focus on early learning and culturally responsive practice within a Cook Islands Māori bilingual setting.

The candidate should hold a NZ practising certificate, have NZ ECE experience, and be open to collaborating in a close-knit team across 7:30am–5:00pm hours. NZ residency or valid work visa is required.

Qualifications

Who we are
Ta’i Tamaiti Turanga Rangatira is a Cook Islands Māori bilingual ECE centre located in Māngere. We are dedicated to supporting our Cook Islands community and families while embracing and celebrating the diversity of cultures within our wider community.

What we are looking for

• A New Zealand registered ECE teacher with a current practising certificate
• Some New Zealand ECE teaching experience
• Ability to speak Cook Islands Māori or another Pacific Island language would be an advantage, but is not essential
• Open-minded, positive and willing to learn
• A fast learner with a genuine can-do attitude
• Someone who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
• Flexible and able to work across our 7:30am–5:00pm operating hours
• Have a deep understanding of the Te Whāriki curriculum and a commitment to culturally responsive practice and contribute to a curriculum that recognises tamariki identities, languages and cultures.
• Passion for creating enriching learning environments that support the holistic development of tamariki.
• A NZ resident or has a valid NZ work visa
