Job summary

Little Forest Early Learning Centre in Auckland is seeking a passionate, part-time registered teacher to join our friendly team. We value child-led learning, te whāriki, and meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau.

You will plan and implement a play-based curriculum, build positive relationships, contribute to assessments and individual planning, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold NZ teacher registration and practising certificate.
• Experience with early childhood education and Te Whāriki is desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with tamariki and whānau required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a play-based curriculum guided by Te Whāriki.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues.
• Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
• Contribute to learning documentation, assessments, and planning.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to support centre improvement.

Little Forest Early Learning Centre is looking for a passionate and dedicated part-time registered teacher to join our friendly team.

We are a warm, family-oriented centre that values meaningful relationships, child-led learning, and respect for each child's individuality and interests. We are looking for a teacher who is committed to providing a high-quality learning environment where tamariki feel safe, valued, and supported to grow.

• Hours: 25-30 hours per week
• Location: Unsworth Heights, Auckland
• Eligibility: Applications are open to New Zealand residents only.
• Registration: Must hold current New Zealand teacher registration and a practising certificate.
